Edinburgh's Award-Winning Mercat Tours Storyteller’s are using their Tourtalk system to keep their guests safe and informed, without having to strain their voices.
Each Storyteller is issued with a Tourtalk TT 40-T transmitter, Tourtalk TT-HM headband microphone and a Face Shield.
Each visitor is issued with a Tourtalk TT 40-R receiver and earphones to hear the story, while socially distanced from one another.
‘Mercat Tours invested in Tourtalk devices four years ago to invest in the 5-star experience for our visitors and team. On the busy Royal Mile, the audio devices ensure all visitors are able to hear and enjoy the Storyteller’s tales. Since CV-19, we have deployed use of the devices on all our tours to support personal distancing and maintain the quality of experience. This has also made our tours more inclusive, relaxed, and visitors and team have both been safe and felt safe.'
