The National Gallery, London have recently purchased Tourtalk two-way tour guide systems for their outdoor events.
The systems will enable the tour guide to speak to the tour group without straining their voice and ensure the tour group can hear every word.
Each tour guide is issued with a wireless transmitter and headset.
Each group member is issued with a wireless receiver and earphone or (if a hearing aid user) a neck loop.
A group member can ask the tour guide a question (which will also be heard by the rest of the group) by speaking directly into their Tourtalk receiver. This makes the tour more interactive ensuring the group are fully engaged.
