We have just supplied Tourtalk TT 40 tour guide systems to one of the finest show caves in Europe. The Marble Arch Caves situated in West Fermanagh, Northern Ireland, welcomes over 140,000 visitors each year.
The tour guide systems will be used to assist tour guides addressing tourists through the 1.5km underground show cave or during educational field trips.
For the cave tours the guides lead up to 21 visitors at a time through the cave experience; relaying interesting information about the history of the cave, the various formations and health and safety information as they walk along. A typical tour takes up to 1-1.5 hours and the tours run throughout the peak season every 15 minutes. The Tourtalk systems enable the tour guides to be heard above the sound of the 3 rivers that run through the cave system.
The systems are also used for their education programmes and guided walks across mountainous terrain often in inclement weather.
