National Museum Cardiff have recently expanded their Tourtalk TT 100 systems by adding TT 100-T transmitters, TT-HM headband microphones, TT 100-R receivers and TT-C25 chargers.
The systems can be used for guided tours and simultaneous interpretation.
The digital Tourtalk TT 100 was recommended as it supports two transmitters operating on the same channel at the same time. This is ideal for two tour guides addressing the same tour group. In addition, the second transmitter can alternatively be used for interviews or questions during the tour, by an interpreter or used to communicate to a separate tour group.
Up to twenty separate tours can operate simultaneously in the same environment. The bodypack receivers have a 3.5mm jack socket to connect the (supplied) single earphone. The lightweight universal fit earphone can be used on the left or right ear.
The transmitter and receivers are supplied with a belt clip and lanyard for hands-free operation. The charger is supplied with a storage case.
National Museum Cardiff is unique among British museums and galleries in its range of art and science displays. The whole of the first floor is dedicated to Wales' national art collections, from paintings and drawings to sculpture and ceramics. It features one of the best collections of Impressionist paintings in Britain and leading international artists of today. More information on the National Museum Cardiff can be found here.
